FESPA Directors Summit brings together industry leaders to discuss the future

The inaugural FESPA Directors Summit took place in Geneva, 22nd – 23rd March 2007, bringing together 70 leaders from Europe’s print service provider community and 25 top executives from equipment manufacturers, such as Jan Vangeel of Agfa, Chet Pribonic of EFI, Francois Martin of HP, Arthur Vanhoutte of Mutoh, and Elie Keersmaekers of Roland. With the creation of the summit, FESPA’s aim is to establish a forum which encourages the sharing of knowledge and the initiation of stimulating discussion, to benefit the wide-format imaging industries in the long term.

SubliM Ink Launches at ISA Las Vegas

EFI and Kornit Join Forces to bring digital inkjet technology to the textile Industry

EFI and Kornit Digital, Ltd. have announced a joint partnership to address the growing demands of the printed textile industry as it migrates from analog to digital technologies. As part of the agreement, EFI has made a strategic investment of $3.5 million in Kornit, which develops and sells high-end industrial digital inkjet printers and inks for the textile industry, primarily for the finished garment and apparel printing markets.

An interesting application, non-slip floor graphics at new hospital eye unit

Patients and visitors at the new eye unit at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK are able to find their way around easily and safely, thanks to the innovative floor graphics system from MacDermid Autotype. The FootPrint system is able to guide even those with seriously impaired vision to the correct department, overcoming the signposting difficulties common in large hospitals.

New glass decoration film from Aslan
