Against a theme of ‘What’s Your Pantone’, the Visual Media Association (VMA) is now inviting entries for the 33rd Real Media Awards, saying that the theme is ‘a celebration of individuality, innovation and identity, and asking entrants ‘to explore the power of colour in storytelling and communication’.
Last year’s Real Media Award’s Judges Choice winning team, on stage to receive the award for their Photo 24 - International Festival of Photography Activation.
Kellie Northwood, CEO for the VMA, says: “Each year, the Real Media Awards celebrate the exceptional work our industry produces across print, publishing, media and marketing. With the 2025 theme ‘What’s Your Pantone?’ we want to provoke a conversation about how colour reflects brand, message and medium. It is about defining your space with confidence and creativity.”
There are over 30 award categories, including Major Awards for Brand, Publisher, Retailer, Agency and Loyalty Program ‘of the Year’, as well as awards for Best Emerging Designer and Best Emerging Talent, and an overall Judge’s Choice award.
In addition to this, there are specialised category awards for creative excellence in each of the following areas:

- Publishing and Editorial
- Agency and Creative Excellence
- Media and Campaign Effectiveness
- Packaging and Labels
- Sustainability and Innovation
