The event was designed to showcase and celebrate creativity, precision, and resilience - qualities shared by both elite car wrappers and motorsport professionals.
Morgane QuetierDuring the event, female wrappers and engineers - including BWT Alpine Formula One Team’s Aero Science and Technology Team Leader Paula Garcia Ruiz - discussed their shared experiences in a sector where females currently account for just 25% of automotive roles globally.
With the vehicle wrap market experiencing rapid global growth, this under-representation highlights a significant opportunity to bring more women into this dynamic, creative, and fast-evolving industry.
In 2025, the global automotive film wrapping market is calculated at over USD$10bn and is forecasted to reach around USD$45bn within the next decade. Driving this growth is the rising popularity of vehicle customisation and bespoke car graphics. Roland DG’s technology enables professionals to go beyond single colour wraps and create intricate, bespoke designs that truly reflect individual style or brand identity. This flexibility is transforming the wrap market, allowing for next-level personalisation that sets wrappers apart in a competitive industry.A Roland DG TrueVis XP-640 printer was used to produce the high-quality custom prints for the vehicle wraps
Morgane Quetier says: “When I started out in car wrapping, there weren’t many women doing it, and even fewer who were visible. So, events like this matter: it’s not just about showcasing technique; it’s about representation. When young women see someone like them working in this space, succeeding, leading, it makes a huge difference. It tells them: you belong here too. This event is about sharing that message, offering support, and building a community of women who lift each other up.”
Lauren Swinnerton, Head of Marketing Communications and Brand EMEA at Roland DG, adds: “Visibility matters. When women see other women thriving in spaces where they’ve traditionally been overlooked, it fuels ambition and progress. The Wrap Academy isn’t just an event – it’s a platform for empowerment.”
