OOH industry reports double-digit growth in Q2 - OMA

Figures from the Outdoor Media Association (OMA), show that the Australian Out of Home (OOH) industry reported an 11.9% increase in net media revenue to $283.2 million for Q2 2023 - up from $253.1 million for the same quarter in 2022.

Opal books $64m loss over closed Maryvale paper business

Opal Australian Paper owner Nippon Paper Industries says the decision to close its white paper manufacturing operations at Maryvale Mill in Victoria will cost the company a total of 6.1 billion yen ($A63.9 million).

Canon Colorado's UVgel inkset approved by 3M MCS warranty programme

Canon has announced that 3M has recognised its Colorado M-series printer and approved its UVgel 460 white ink as part of the 3M MCS Warranty program. This approval provides assurance that applications printed on the Colorado M-series in combination with UVgel 460 ink and 3M’s approved media, will achieve the highest quality standards.

 According to Smithers' data from 'The future of signage in a digital world,' print output for wide-format and other signage applications are recovering from a downturn at the beginning of the decade. The outlook is still challenging however, as new priorities are established in printed advertising, point-of-sale (PoS) signage, posters, decals, and vehicle graphics.

Visual Impact Sydney post-show report bodes well for Brisbane next year
