“Being a family owned organisation, it has been our long held belief that we each have an obligation to make the world a better place,” said Chris Tyquin, GOA CEO and joint managing director, and John Tyquin, also joint MD, in a statement.

“As such, we use the flexibility afforded to us by our technology to support a number of community groups, arts organisations and charities to create campaigns that drive community awareness and engagement on a big scale. It helps us to build relationships within the SEQ community that we truly treasure.

“We open our doors each year and invite community organisations to answer this creative brief. We invite you to take part in this process in 2020 as this is an opportunity for us to become partners and bring a truly engaging campaign concept to life.”

GOA’s digital and 'classic' billboards network across Brisbane and the Gold Coast reaches over one million people each day. “Our billboards offer unmatched coverage of the Brisbane market, with 85% of SEQ reached every week,” said the company.

The Community Partnership Program includes two tiers.

Tier one: Full Support Partnership
Our tier one partnership allows organisations to apply for a fully supported advertising campaign with us. To apply for a tier one partnership organisations must submit a proposal based on the creative brief released each year in August for the following calendar year. The process is simple - all you need is a creative idea!

Tier two: Dollar-for-dollar
Our tier two partnership is perfect for community organisations and charities that have an advertising budget but need a bit of extra bang for their buck. These partnerships are on offer all year round and all enquiries should be forwarded to reception@goa.com.au

A former Community Partner, the Queensland Writers Centre, used GOA billboards as part of a multi-platform campaign to promote its #8WordStory campaign, which encouraged the public to "put pen to billboard" to create an 8 word story. They took entries from Twitter and their microsite then published over 10,000 short stories using goaConnect. Watch the video below.

More details about the program can be found here.

Submissions close 5pm, 1 November 2019.
