EFI PrintSmith Sign was launched at the SGIA show.

It is a system that will enable sign and print providers to more easily manage their operations, save time, reduce waste and help generate more profits.

PrintSmith Sign is built on the foundation of PrintSmith, a flexible, feature-rich print management information system and the market-leading solution for on-demand, copy shop, quick printer and small commercial shops.

“As the sign segment of the printing industry continues double-digit growth, as we’ve seen with the market demand for our VUTEk and Rastek printers, and as many printers look to diversify by adding or enhancing their sign making capabilities, the time is right to introduce a special version of PrintSmith tailored to this market,” said Marc Olin, senior vice president/general manager, EFI Advanced Professional Print Software (APPS). “PrintSmith Sign is the only offering of its kind to address wide format, digital page production, and screen printing operations in a single system, so it has broad appeal to sign shops as well as print providers looking to capitalise on new customer niches and growth opportunities.”

PrintSmith Sign is a complete sign shop management system that offers powerful estimating, point-of-sale, account management, production management, receivables and sales analysis tools. It supports square area print pricing, square area and linear finishing, and roll and rigid substrates.

PrintSmith Sign integrates directly with EFI Fiery XF, the award-winning inkjet RIP and colour management solution for accurate, vibrant colours on VUTEk superwide and Rastek wide-format printers, along with a number of other devices. PrintSmith Sign is integrated with Digital StoreFront®, adding the power and flexibility of EFI’s award-winning web-to-print platform to give clients and prospects a new front door to the print service provider’s business. PrintSmith Sign also integrates directly with EFI Fiery-driven output devices for job ticketing and data collection, allowing even greater productivity improvements.
