Innova announce Décor Art ES, a new semi-gloss, rough textured art paper compatible with all eco-solvent printers.

“As an applications-driven company, it is important for Innova Art to show innovative materials that stretch the imagination. Not long ago, printing art images on eco-solvent machines was not acceptable for many audiences. Over time, the print quality of the machines has increased and the media became the limiting factor…until now. At SGIA in New Orleans, this October, we will feature an Epson GS6000 printing on textured art paper,” states Wayne Connelly, Innova Art Ltd. US.

The new product is a 13 mil (260gm) bright white paper targeted at production print providers in the open edition printmaking and décor market. Roll widths are 30, 54, and 60” at 100’ length on a 3” core. Eco-solvent printer compatibility includes Canon, Epson, Mimaki, Mutoh and Roland. Additional surfaces, as well as other eco-solvent materials are in development now. Décor Art ES will be available via the Innova reseller network, October 1, 2009.

Connelly also states, “Eco-solvent output of interior imaging and décor art is an area of growth for inkjet printing. The production speeds and reduced costs allow inkjet printing to drill down into the space traditionally occupied by screen printers and offset lithographers. With the development of true art paper for eco-solvent, we are continuing our history of innovative products for creative print reproduction.”
