Following a string of recent new product launches, ColourProcess, (exclusive resellers of basICColor software in Australia and New Zealand), this week announced the release in Australia of basICColor DeviL.
This device link software is fully ICC based, and brings all the benefits of direct CMYK to CMYK conversion in to a printing workflow.
Device link software overcomes the many disadvantages of indirect conversion, in which the source profile goes from CMYK, through LAB to then be re-converted to CMYK. In this indirect process, problems will occur with black and primary colours, as LAB cannot preserve the black channel.
DeviL device link software allows you to choose to retain the black separation, to preserve to 100% CMY and RGB as well as the grey, duplex and triplex colours.
basICColor Devil is now available to Australian printers and fully supported by ColourProcess.
