The PMA Imaging Technology Expo, 4-6th May, Melbourne Exhibition Centre, will feature a series of special free talks for professional photographers which will be run in conjunction with special conferences organised by the AIPP and the ACMP.

Following in the tradition of “The Mini Huddles” a selection of these talks will take place on the show floor in a purpose-built Imaging Theatre.

“We will have two main lecture presentation areas,” explains Expo Director Paul Curtis. “We have seating for around 500 in the Auditorium on the second floor of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and seating for around 70 in the Imaging Theatre which is built open plan right on the show floor.”

The ACMP will also be conducting sessions for members in its lounge, but the Imaging Theatre sessions on the show floor can be attended by all and at will by passers by. However, although still free, the sessions in the 500 seat Auditorium need to be pre-booked on line at www.photoimagingworld.com.au.

The Auditorium will feature such star speakers as the National Geographic Society photographer Jason Edwards, internationally acclaimed landscape photographer Ken Duncan and surf photography expert Ted Grambeau.

In the Imaging Theatre on the show floor, a top flight team of professionals includes Henry Wilhelm, the US based researcher into print archival capabilities, Wayne Connelly, Les Walking, Eric Kunsman,Tim Griffiths and Steve Strike.

Admission to the Expo is free as long as the visitor pre-registers on line at www.photoimagingworld.com.au. Otherwise, a fee of $20 is payable at the door.

The full schedule is available on line at www.photoimagingworld.com.au and includes the following presentations:
