The Z Series was released at the end of 2006 and HPs dedicated stand at PMA will give Australian and New Zealand visitors the first opportunity to view these printers at a major industry trade show.
Since its release the Z Series has proven its superior colour imaging capabilities around the world as photographers discover the extraordinary clarity and depth of colour achievable in the prints they are able to output on a range of art and photographic papers and canvas.
The Z Series features the first built-in spectrophotometer in a printer of this class capable of consistently producing museum-quality 8 and 12 ink prints that last 200 years1
At the launch of the series in Bangkok in September 2006 internationally renowned photographer Douglas Kirkland espoused the virtues of the Z Series in being able to accurately represent his photographs many of which are of the worlds most famous celebrities and models.
PMA provides an unprecedented opportunity for photographers to explore the opportunities available to them with the HP Designjet Z Series Photo Printers, said Ben Ho, Large Format Printing - Market Development Manager, HP Imaging and Printing Group (ANZ). This Series features the first built-in spectrophotometer in a printer of this class ensuring consistency in colour reproduction from the first to last print giving users greater confidence that their creative works will be accurately represented.
HP will also present leading Australian photographer Trent Parke who will participate in the PMA workshop programme.
The series features two printers; the HP Designjet Z2100 24 inch (60.96 cm) and Z3100 44 inch (111.76cm). Continuing to expand its professional printing portfolio, HP is leveraging its pigment ink technologies developed for the HP Photosmart Pro B9180 to create the first large-format printers employing HPs Scalable Printing Technology.
