Avon Graphics is Australia’s most recognised trade supplier of specialised processes to the printing industry. Now they have added new digital inkjet printing technology with 2 x JFX500-2131 LED UV Flatbed machines, Mimaki’s premium LED UV printer and Mimaki’s new high speed JV300-160 roll fed eco-solvent printer.

The variable ink droplet size meant that we could offer the best quality while still maintaining the speed needed to meet market demand. The LED cold cure system allows us to run stocks like polypropylene without having to worry about heat curl etc, which has been an issue in the past. Also, the taint or smell of the inks with conventional UV has sometimes dictated that in store prints had to be laminated. The LED cured Mimaki inks have no odour. We have also had great outcomes with the adhesion of the inks, this has also caused some concern with previous projects.
We also invested in Mimaki’s new JV300-160 eco-solvent printer. With speed to market being a big contributor in large format, this machine helps ensure we can meet the tightest of deadlines while keeping the quality we need. Here at Avon Graphics we see our trade large format service growing into the future and feel that the Mimaki products can help take us there. The Mimaki support has been great. Installation, training and ongoing service have all been dealt with seamlessly”.
