Three new high-end digitex solutions for indoor use have been announced by Starleaton for the wide-format XXL market..

Digital textiles continue to make inroads into the exhibition, sign, photographic and display markets, with the Heytex Sign digitex range from Starleaton proving popular. The new materials can be used for printing with solvent, UV, latex and DyeSub inks. The pleasing textile look, light weight and high colour brilliance up to a metallic gloss effect, extends the indoor applications of digitally-printed textiles and renders the photographer’s and designer’s intent faithfully.
  • The new materials are:
    • digitex flexible: a very flexible textile  for UV or DyeSub inks. The base fabric consists of 200 g/m² heavy PVC-free polyester and is available in widths up to 3.1 metres. digitex® flexible is CA-certified (Colour Alliance), flame retardant and suitable for frontlit or backlit applications.
    • digitex heylux: a translucent fabric for indoor use with back lighting This new, flame-resistant product is made of PVC-free polyester for printing systems up to 3.2 metres and can be used with solvent, UV and latex inks. It is 220 g/m² and is CA-certified.
    • digitex blockout UV: a totally reflection-free blockout fabric for bilateral, high-resolution UV print; digitex® blockout UV is the ideal fabric for floodlit indoor advertising such as freely-suspended banners in shopping centres. It exhibits excellent stability without curling, is  PVC-free, flame retardant and available in a material width of 3.1 metres

Starleaton’s General Manager Ben Eaton comments: “Colour Alliance - certified Heytex fabrics are based on a standardised coating that drastically reduces the required colour profiles, markedly simplifies the production process for the user and optimises operational safety. The new fabrics are extremely versatile, easy to process and offer a very attractive price-performance ratio.”
