The M-Press Tiger

Having spied the M-Press Tiger at FESPA Munich earlier this year, the sale and the soon to be installation has progressed from there with the commissioning of the unit expected early next year.

David Gittus, managing director of Active Display states that the unit will include the optional in-line screen printing unit for high gloss applications which would be a first for our region. Agfa Graphics have two other installations of an M-Press Tiger operating in Australia at Styleprint in Melbourne.

An upbeat Steve Taylor, Inkjet Manager at Agfa Graphics indicated that he felt this installation would open people's eyes to the potential of this calibre of machine and fully expects several more orders in the coming months.

Developed jointly with Thieme, Agfa's :M-Press Tiger combines the printing expertise of both companies: screen printing from Thieme and digital inkjet printing from Agfa. The :M-Press Tiger can print up to 700 square metres per hour including loading and unloading, with no make ready, films or screens. It can handle substrates up to 10 mm thick. It also enables variable data printing.
