Signage Accessories Supplier opens in Villawood, near Sydney.

SAS has always had a strong presence at the various trade shows around Australia and has built up a wide range of clients throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. SAS has developed a strong following in NSW and had previously shipped products to their clients from their Melbourne or Brisbane warehouses.  This had developed a loyal customer base in NSW.

John Wang the owner of SAS said “The feedback from our presence at the Sydney trade shows and from our customer service team told us our clients wanted more of our product but with shorter delivery times.  The only way we could provide this level of service was to commit to a Sydney location.  This meant we had to provide a total package to be effective for our customers”

Villawood was a good choice given our potential client base.  A 2000sqm warehouse office complex was found and has been renovated.  A new showroom showcases the full range of SAS products.

The impressive warehouse will also be used as bulk storage of popular products to support the inventory in other states or deliver bulk orders nationally.  All sales and customer service staff can access stock on a National basis and facilitate delivery in the most effective manner.

The Villawood site has also commissioned a guillotine to supply clients with composite panel cut to size.  This service is very popular amongst the clients in Melbourne and Brisbane.  SAS has extended the range of colours to 42 including the popular “corporate colours” as well as providing an indent service for special matches.  With 5 sizes ranging from 2440 x 1220mm up to 4000 x 2000mm, 3 and 4mm thicknesses and 3 different skin gauges most applications can be catered for ex stock.  It is difficult to for the contract delivery networks to manage panel without extensive damage or costly packaging.  SAS operate their own vehicles to deliver Composite Panel in the metro area and this popular service has been provided from opening.

The range of display products and media has continued to grow.  Many products have been modified as a result of customer feedback.  SAS has a number of screen printers, digital printers and display customers who use the SAS range of products exclusively.

John Geraghty the newly appointed state manager has been canvassing the existing client base and the feedback has only been positive.  “News travels fast and there were a couple of clients who called in to collect orders rather than wait for overnight delivery from interstate - the warehouse guys had not even put the stock away”.  John has also discovered many clients have been purchasing one or two products, unaware of our full range of products.

SAS started operating in Melbourne from a small warehouse in January 2005, sold media and a range of display equipment.  Every year high levels of growth have been maintained as the customer base and product list developed.

In 2007 an office/warehouse was set up in China to control ordering and the consignment of goods to Australia.  All manufacturers are dealt with directly and orders are delivered to the SAS China warehouse where containers are consolidated for direct shipment each state.  Several customers are using the SAS direct indent service to manage large orders at the most competitive rate.
