Colourworx is the first New Zealand company to install HP’s revolutionary latex ink technology with its purchase of the HP Designjet L65500 printer.

Managing Director Shaun Jackson said the investment was in line with the company’s commitment to working with cutting edge technology.

hp l65000“Colourworx is known as a leader in innovation and product technology. As such we were keen to be the first company in New Zealand to take on the HP latex ink technology because of the enormous potential we see in being able to produce environmentally responsible print.”

He continued. “This printer will enable us to be a leader in the emerging green print market and to also explore opportunities at government and corporate levels. At present we are product testing a range of biodegradable and other environmentally friendly substrates to ensure we go to market with a comprehensive green offering”.

Based in Manukau City half an hour’s drive from Auckland, Colourworx has been in business since 1999. More than “just a printer” Colourworx has a partnership with Velvet Events and Marketing to provide its clients with an all-inclusive service.

Colourworx manufactures a broad range of products including vehicle graphics, retail POS, displays, flags, banners and interior and exterior decor.  With the HP Designjet L65500 the company has now added environmental printing to its repertoire.

Jackson conceded the past 15 months have been tough on the New Zealand economy, “but you can’t sit still, you need to build on your strengths and invest in technology that will enable you to provide total solutions.”

“I am excited about the potential this new printer has for our business and our clients,” he concluded.
