Roland DG has announced a sponsorship deal for the 2010 Desktop CREATE:Awards.

Now in it’s 6th year, the 2010 Desktop CREATE:Awards has grown to become one of Australia’s most prestigious design/creative industry accolades, recognising and awarding outstanding works in a vast array of creative fields including print, animation, fashion, packaging, website design, photography and much more. Judged by a panel of respected industry gurus and supported by credibly renowned companies and associations, winning a CREATE:Award is one of the highest accolades a designer/creative can receive.

Creative_awardsRoland DG will sponsor the 'Print Creative' category for the 2010 awards to promote the unique and creative applications achievable through print. Roland specialised Print&Cut solutions can deliver creative applications such as metallic finishes, raised gloss/matte finishes, short run labels, decals, unique packaging prototypes and much more.

“Roland DG is proud to be associated with the 2010 Desktop CREATE:Awards as it recognises creative work across many fields of the graphic arts industry” says John Wall, Sales & Marketing Manager Roland DG. “Roland DG has always encouraged people to express their creativity through print, so it makes sense for Roland to sponsor the ‘Print Creative’ category. Roland has some unique products for the Graphics Arts/Creative industry with more exciting developments to come!”

"At Desktop nothing makes us happier than showing off the most happening creative, sourced from around the country, and the world. The CREATE:Awards are a very important part of this, and for the past six years we have put our heart and soul into developing this wonderful industry event. Not to mention we get a huge buzz from showing off all that amazing design work!”  said Jo Spurling, Desktop Editor. “For Roland DG to show it's continued support for the creative industries by coming on board as a CREATE: sponsor is fantastic and we're looking forward to sharing a drink with them at the red carpet event in August!"

Call for entries opens in March, all leading up to a 500+ people red-carpet awards ceremony in August (held in Melbourne, Australia) where the winners are announced. For more information visit www.createawards.com.au.
