This is a photo overview of the show highlighting some of the exhibits at the show. Photos are in alphabetical order.

This year's show ran alongside the POPEI show with no barriers between the two. The show appeared bigger since the combined shows occupied three halls. This photo overview does not include the POPEI show. Apologies to those exhibits which are not featured here.

Charles Parsons, a first time exhibitor at the VIIE Expo showed off the re-cyclable Adversol textile range, a range that is gaining popularity very quickly.

Agfa Graphics had two Anapurnas on display, the M2 and the MW, both machines showing their value and generating a lot of interest.

Alupanel is winning many fans and market share in the aluminium composite market. It includes a polyester paint finish, which the company says is subject to the strictest manufacturing standards.

Anitech, a firm favourite at the VIIE shows featured the Seiko Infotech's ColorPainter H-104S/74S V-64S. Barry Grant, Anitech's GM was quoted as saying that they struggle to meet demand for these printers.

New to the Anitech stable is the Korean Jetrix flatbed printer from the well known Inktec company. Interest in the machine was high and we understand that Anitech took several orders at the show.

AVS, 3M's master dealer always bring a vehicle along for wrapping demonstrations.  This year was no exception as they know it pulls the crowds.

CPI, a first time exhibitor at VIIE are the newly appointed distributor for the HP Scitex range as well as Mactac media. The large organisation is set to make inroads into the sign and display industry.

DGS Mimaki do not spare the investment when it comes to exhibitions. The UJV-160 was just one of the stars of this years exhibit. Strong interest is being shown in the company's UV LED products.

DGS Mimaki are more known for their printers but cutting plotters from Mimaki are a proven thoroughbred breed. Here the company was showing off the CG-160 FX which include all the expected automation for maximum productivity.

The Ezy Taper is synonomous with productivity. The all Australian made multi function device for print mounting, cold laminating, tape application, mounting of pre-masked vinyl, flood coating and much much more.

Fujifilm have installed many of the hybrid Acuity printers which are now available in several models, including the Advance X2 and the Advance HD 2545  the latest model which was on show.

Fujifilm are one of Mutoh's biggest dealers so it is not surprising that Fujifilm's exhibit included many of the latest Mutoh ValueJet's direct to textile Mutoh machines.

Along side the latest range of Mutoh cutting plotters were the ValueJet range of printers that have done so well for Mutoh.

IDS Displays has been designing, producing and installing point of sale products and exhibition stands and graphics for the past 20 years.

 l25500.gif  mactac.gif

Considerd the star of the show by many was the HP DesignJet L25500, brought into Australia especially for the show. Latex technology has the potential to radically change the status quo in the solvent and eco solvent industry.

Mactac don't often take a direct appraoch to exhibitions but the VIIE show was an exception with this custom Hummer that was almost wrapped with Mactac media.

 mutoh.gif  oce.gif

Mutoh showed off an extensive array of technology including a new range of cutter plotters from Graphtec to compliment Mutoh's own cutters.

Océ didn't have to do much to draw good crowds as the Arizona 350 XT and the ColorWave 600 using CrystalPoint Pearl technology are always attracting people. Océ took several orders at the show.

 positive_camtec.gif  project.gif

Positive Camtec had much to talk to visitors about, especially with their new distribution deals with SAi and Summa. This was in addition to their established flagship products from Tekwin, Tekcel, Epson and Roland DG.

Project Engraving and Digital are making quite an impression these days with Roland DG machines and in particular the Roland DG DFP740 fabric printer.

 roland_dg_versacamm.gif  roland_lec330.gif

Roland DG had three product launches to complete at the VIIE show. This photo shows the new VersaCamm SP-540i, part of the new series that also includes the 30 inch SP-300i.

Eagerly awaited from Roland DG was the new LEC 330. Destined to transform the industry with the leading edge UV LED roll to roll printer and cutter. The new model includes white ink and offers a range of special effects and finishes to enlarge the users customer offerings.

 roland_metallic.gif  seminars.gif

Last but certainly not least of the Roland DG product launches was the metallic ink for the company's eco solvent range of printers.

A favourite at the seminars was Roland DG's Conrad Birkett. Conrad has an in depth knowledge of the industry and the Roland DG products. He drew some of the larger crowds when it came to his turn to present a seminar.

 signie_diary.gif  wilenco.gif

The Signie is a 2010 diary plus, plus. As well as a good page a day diary the book contains a mass of information for the signie as well as one of the better Pricing Guides that should go hand in hand with other guides as a means of cross checking.

Ron King of Wilenco has done it again with another innovation for the sign industry. This time a multi purpose and programmable cutter called the SmartTrimmer which Ron says is ideal for most wide format printing media, including the aluminium composites.
