DES and EFI have announced their new partnership and the launch of a regional Innovation Centre based in Rhodes, Sydney.

Timed to coincide with the Australian release at Pacprint of the EFI Rastek T660 UV flat bed printer and the EFI Jetrion 4000 label press, DES and EFI are pleased to announce their new partnership and the launch of a regional Innovation Centre based in Rhodes, Sydney.

DES has been EFI proofing solution distributor for 10 years and is now also a significant partner for VUTEk superwide digital inkjet printers, Rastek UV wide format inkjet printers, Jetrion industrial inkjet printing system and the Digital StoreFront, world-class, print-centric e-commerce solution.

The EFI Innovation Centre will cover e-commerce products such as Digital StoreFront, commercial and industrial printing solutions such as the Jetrion full-colour digital label press, the Fiery XF and Colorproof XF range of colour management software right through to large format and superwide format UV solutions.

The Innovation Centre has been established to demonstrate EFI’s ‘vision’ of delivering increased value to their customers by achieving high productivity using EFI’s experience in digital delivery and scheduling of jobs, automation of colour management and workflows combined with best in class hardware.

With market sector lines blurring rapidly between commercial print, display graphics and print-for-pay the Innovation Centre will demonstrate total solutions to customers so they can maximise the new opportunities presenting in the marketplace.

“We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with EFI” commented Ian Clare, Managing Director of DES. “We have worked extensively with EFI over the last 10 years and this partnership is a logical step to providing a wider Asia Pacific regional service and increased customer satisfaction.”

EFI’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Ramin Kazemi, is also positive about the move. “DES shares our vision of adding value and they have a strong history of successfully introducing and supporting digital technology into the graphic arts markets. We are very pleased to be expanding this partnership of our world class digital printing and UV printer solutions.

DES Sales Director Russell Cavenagh was also extremely positive about the move. “The Innovation Centre is designed to showcase EFI products from the start to the finish of the workflow. Customers from the region will be able to see firsthand how EFI and DES can add value to their businesses.”
