Epson’s hugely successful SureColor range of commercial large format inkjet printers - the SureColor T5465 A0 large format printer with a 36-inch print area and four ink cartridges pictured here - play a modest part in Epson now being seen as the number one global supplier of inkjet printers

50 years Epson brandBruce Bealby, GM Marketing for Epson Australia, says, “This marks Epson’s strongest performance to date in the inkjet category and is a testament to the efficiency, sustainability and growing popularity of our technology across both consumer and business markets.”

In addition to Epson’s highly successful SureColor range of commercial large format inkjet printers - designed for high-quality printing on various materials and typically featuring a range of advanced printing technologies, including dye sublimation, direct to garment (DTG), and direct to film (DTFilm) technologies - Epson inkjet technology is also prevalent in industrial applications.

Epson also manufactures the EcoTank, WorkForce Enterprise and WorkForce Pro inkjet printer ranges, which meet the needs of offices large and small as werll as the more niche home office and photo markets.

Epson believes that a significant contributing factor to recent market growth is that all its inkjet printers use Heat-Free Technology, which consumes significantly less energy than more traditional laser printing technology. They are also more sustainable, requiring fewer consumable parts which require regular replacement, resulting in less waste and a total cost of ownership that is typically lower than comparable laser printers.
