Prime Minister, Dr. Dietmar Woidke recently visited the headquarters of the Orafol Group in Oranienburg and spoke to Orafol Chairman & CEO Dr. Holger Loclair about the company's current investment cycle (2025-2027) and the status of its ‘Halle 14’ construction project.

In a ministerial visit that underlines the importance of the family-owned company for Brandenburg as an industrial location and that reinforces the common interest of politics and business for Brandenburg's medium-sized businesses, Dr. Dietmar Woidke said: “Orafol is an example of the success of our economy. With its investments, it contributes to securing employment, creating added value and sustainably strengthening Brandenburg's industrial base.
Dr. Holger Loclair, Chairman & CEO of ORAFOL, said: "At ORAFOL, we don't need any funding. We have the means and the ideas to grow in the long term under our own steam – here in Oranienburg and worldwide. What we need at the interface with Brandenburg's state politics is the certainty that we are looking in the same direction. And that is currently the case."
The discussion focused on Orafol's two-year,150 million euros investment in a new ‘Halle 14’ production area which will feature highly automated and digitalised manufacturing technologies. Earlier this year, Orafol received an official building permit to commence construction work on the site, prompting Dr Woidke to acknowledge: "The rapid and efficient implementation of the approval procedure, which shows the performance of our state when politics, administration and companies work together constructively.”
With the construction of Hall 14 and the extensive investments in automation and digitalisation, Orafol is committing itself to its home location of Oranienburg in the long term and at the same time strengthening Brandenburg's position as an industrial and technological state.
