Fiery has launched the Digital Factory 12 RIP, saying the release marks a significant advancement for print providers seeking superior colour, streamlined production, and easy workflow automation with direct-to-film (DTF) and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing.

Toby Weiss, CEO Fiery, says: “The DTF and DTG print market is growing rapidly, and customers want less friction, more impactful colour, and future-ready workflows that take their operations to the next level. Digital Factory 12 achieves that same professional-grade colour calibration for DTF and DTG printing offering users the capabilities they need to reach their full printing potential.”
One feature of the RIP is a new saturation rendering created specifically for DTF and textile workflows, to boost vibrancy in traditionally dull areas while preserving natural skin tones. Fiery says ‘It delivers punchier, more impactful colour without the risk of over-saturation, making it ideal for apparel decoration, heat transfers, and promotional items.
Another feature is the RIP’s Fiery Colour Profiler add-on, which enables print operators to achieve repeatable, professional-quality output using supported spectrophotometers to calibrate printers and build ICC profiles in-house.
Also, replacing the need for third-party tools, the new Digital Factory 12 RIP offers the Gang Sheet Builder, which brings a visual, drag-and-drop layout directly into the system. Operators can preview, group, nest, and auto-close sheets, all from the queue, which Fiery claims is more intuitive and engineered specifically for DTF production needs.
Finally, an expanded mark-up system allows for clearer labels, orientation indicators, and finishing guides, which help reduce cutting mistakes, speed up post-print processes, and keep print jobs organised.
Digital Factory 12’s new, streamlined interface and powerful production tools reduce complexity and time-to-print, allowing both experienced and novice operators to produce complicated jobs.
