A record number of 86 golfers and 96 total attendees turned out at the Heidelberg Golf Course in Melbourne for the annual ASGA Victorian Sign & Print Golf Day, generously sponsored by Graphic Art Mart.
Over 80 golfers enjoyed the 2025 ASGA Melbourne Golf Day at the 'stunning' Heidelberg Golf Course
Whilst this was the final event in this year’s ASGA Golf Series, it was the first time the award-winning Heidelberg Golf Course had been used by ASGA and Damian Nielsen, Member & Events Manager for ASGA, confirms: “It was a great choice: a beautiful course, with plenty of interest and challenge, including a resident flock of goats! The Club rooms and staff were exceptional too and this was a great way to finish up the Series.”
Heralding the unprecedented turnout for the event – ‘a great chance for business owners, professionals and suppliers to make new connections, renew old friendships, and enjoy a day away from the office’ – Nielsen adds: “The Melbourne event also saw the presentation of the first annual Series Trophy, the ‘Punchy’, awarded to the team which boasted the best performance across all ASGA Golf Days - in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.”
“Named after industry legend and former ASGA Member & Events Manager, Michael Punch, the Punchy trophy has been established as a perpetual Award which recognises the ongoing support of participating companies as much as their overall performance - something for which Punchy himself is well known.”
Competition was keen, with teams representing suppliers and industry businesses vying for a host of other prizes too, for everything from longest drive and nearest to the pin, to the hotly-contested Survivor Ball. And while the best performing team on the day went to Team 3M (Mat, Dean, Samie and Aaron), the inaugural Punchy award was presented to Graphic Art Mart.
Nielsen adds: “Graphic Art Mart has not only supported our Golf Day Series as sponsors this year, but have entered teams in each of the ASGA Golf Days around the country, and achieved some great results.”
Other sponsors who have made the 2025 ASGA Sign & Print Golf Series possible include Spicers, Bentleigh Group, HVG Graphics Media, Mulford, ORAFOL, Peak Install, Signarama, SMIB and Bounce LED/LetterTech.
