Epson has added to it's range of Claria printers with the release of the Epson Stylus Photo 1410. Joining the A4 Stylus Photo R390 and RX590, the Stylus Photo 1410 provides photography enthusiasts with A3+ photographic prints.

Targeting primarily the photo enthusiast, office and small businesses, it may well appeal to the professional photographer for producing prints.

Using Epson's Claria Ultra High Definition Photographic ink which has a wide colour gamut and bright, vivid colours. Claria ink is smudge and scratch resistant as well as being resistant to fading that is caused by light and ozone.

The printer uses six individual Claria ink cartridges including cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, yellow and black so users only need replace the colour used most.

The new Advanced Variable Sized droplet technology enables the nozzles to fire 5 different sized droplets, increasing flexibility of droplet sizes and droplet placement. The result is faster printing and improved photo quality. The Stylus Photo 1410 produces ink droplets as small as 1.5 picolitres and prints at optimised resolutions as high as 5760 x 1440 dpi.

For the dedicated photo enthusiasts it has the advantage of using the wider colour gamut of the Adobe® RGB colour space mode which is located in the driver and is available on most high quality digital cameras.

There is no need for a computer to print your digital photos as it also has USB Direct Print from digital cameras and Epson Photo Multimedia viewers making printing quick and convenient. Once connected via USB a print menu is displayed on the camera's LCD monitor, enabling you to select the size, number and type of prints you want.

The front loading CD tray allows users to print directly onto CDs and DVDs. And with the inclusion of Epson Print CD software, CDs and DVDs can now have a professional look, eliminating the need for messy labels.
