A technology preview model of Screen’s new Truepress LABEL 520AQ water-based inkjet label press, will be shown on the Screen stand D55 in Hall 5 at the upcoming Labelexpo Europe later this month (16th-19th September, Fira Barcelona Gran Via exhibition centre). This is in addition to previously released news (see here) that Screen’s Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI-S digital press will be printing live and continuously throughout all four days of the show.

The new Truepress LABEL 520AQ is capable of achieving 1200x1200 dpi resolution at production speeds up to 100 linear metres per minute on a 520mm web with 508mm printing width. Designed primarily for converters facing rising production costs and growing demand for premium, sustainable labels, the press delivers offset print quality with the efficiency and flexibility of digital.
From standard self-adhesive labels to emerging markets such as pharmaceutical, agri-chemical, or wet-glue labels, the press offers converters new opportunities to expand into additional segments while meeting increasingly strict sustainability requirements.
The press is also powered by Screen’s proprietary Truepress SC+ Inks and Advanced Ink Amount (AIA) control system, to enable sharp image fidelity and contrasts, with reliable colour accuracy. Utilising NIR (Near Infra-Red) drying technology, converters can efficiently produce labels with dense ink coverage even on PP (Polypropylene) and BOPP (Bi-axially Oriented Polypropylene) films and offset coated papers, without additional pre-treatment.
The press supports regulatory compliance and enhances operator safety while helping converters lower their environmental impact.
