While Wilenco owner, Ron King, quietly went about his business, selling at least 7 Rollover Applicators ‘off the stand’ at PacPrint, the Norwegian made and owned company were again represented in person, as a nod to the continued strength and authenticity of the relationship.
Rollover’s recently appointed Sales Director, Dorthe Schjodt on the stand at PacPrint
The setting felt extremely familiar. As you entered PacPrint, the impressive array of Rollover applicators and laminators - including the imposing 6m x 1.7m Classic, a 4m x 1.7m version and the 3.6m x 1.5m Flexi – were there to greet you. Anyone who hovered for more than a minute or so, soon received a welcome from Ron King as he proudly extolled the single operator capability, flexible specs and handy backlit working surfaces (that can even include self-healing, Phthalate-free, cutting mat material available from Wilenco in 120mm to 2200mm widths and up to 20 metre length).
In the background, Rollover’s recently appointed Danish Sales Director, Dorthe Schjodt, who flew in from the company’s Norwegian manufacturing plant in Mysen (population only 7,500, so every local is well-attuned to the Rollover success story). Humble and under-stated, Dorthe was on the tail-end of a steep learning curve that was dominated by time spent in the US – Rollover’s primary market, with sales executed across the country by a number of different distributors.
“Ron’s success speaks for itself though,” reflects Dorthe. “He essentially brought the brand to Australia ten years ago and has sold over 250 Rollover Applicators across Australia and New Zealand. He knows the products better than some of our technical people do!”
Wilenco owner and Rollover sales guru Ron KingKing himself talks to the simplicity of the tables: “They are well-made, robust and ideal for customers looking to considerably reduce the time they need to produce rigid signs from roll materials, and all with a one-person operation.”
The Rollover Flexi Flatbed Applicator comes with an electronic table height adjustment. It also offers quick dismantling to facilitate entering premises with difficult access, so can be delivered fully assembled, or in three easy-to-assemble sections: the sliding arms/roller gantry; glass bed and supporting frame; and the leg section
“The real value is in the longevity of these machines,” adds King. “Whilst they all come with a 5-year warranty and we know that the Norwegian team are always on hand if there are any issues, they are such a reliable machine that I hardly receive any service calls.”
“You can tell this is the case from the existing customers who have dropped into the stand,” adds Dorthe. “So many customers have dropped in simply to say how delighted they are with the product and how long they have had it, without any downtime. That’s a great message for me to take back to Norway.”
