Pozitive Sign & Graphic Supplies used PacPrint to help launch the latest flatbed cutter technology from Summa: the 160x250cm (8x5ft) F1625, specifically engineered for wide-format printing professionals.
Pozitive showcased its neon sign capability with an illuminating display in the annals of its PacPrint stand
Phil Trumble, Managing Director, Pozitive, points out: “The F1612 model, which cuts 160cm wide by 120cm deep, has enjoyed solid success in Australia because of its compact footprint and versatility. But the standard sheet size over here is 240x120cm so we’ve had consistent requests over the years for a machine that can accommodate that.”
“The larger 320x180cm machines has a larger footprint, but this new F1625 handles standard boards perfectly while still supporting 64-inch roll media for trimming posters or kiss-cutting stickers.”
Well-regarded for high performance, precision digital finishing, the Summa F Series’ transitions seamlessly between substrates, making it invaluable for businesses working with everything from decals to packaging and signage. The ‘all-rounder’ handles flexible and rigid media, including vinyl, PVC, acrylics, foam board, and ACM, and is designed to accommodate full board sheets without additional feeding systems.Multifunctional cutting head can hold up to three modules at one time
Like all models in the F Series, the F1625’s modular design can handle three tools simultaneously, able to ‘swap’ tool systems to accommodate for kiss-cutting, creasing and routing as required. The cutter comes with Automatic Device Calibration, Automatic Tool Recognition, and Summa’s GoProduce Flatbed Edition software to minimise setup time and operator error.
The Tandem Workflow and Dedicated Operator Zone keep production moving by allowing loading and unloading during active cutting. The GoProduce software includes advanced features like barcode-driven workflows, rapid camera-based mark detection, and smart sorting capabilities. Summa claims that users can minimise errors by up to 60% and that the software also enables 24/7 unmonitored operation for roll-based workflows.
Speaking just after securing a sale of the F1625 to Aussie Safety Stickers, Trumble concludes: “It’s the smallest footprint machine we offer, yet its very capable.”
“Summa’s commitment to engineering smarts that help users to enhance their productivity whilst still maintaining accuracy makes it a strong choice for Australian companies looking for flexible finishing solutions.”
