Against the motto ‘Made in Durst’ The Durst Group is targeting FESPA Global Print Expo 2025, 6th-9th May in Berlin, as the ideal setting to showcase its technological ambition.
The P5 500 TEX iSUB is a water-based ‘Superwide’ sublimation printer (width of 5.2 metres)
Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of the Durst Group says: “We are rethinking professional print production – with the most reliable printing systems on the market, a connected software architecture, a clear focus on automation, true efficiency, and resource-saving processes. ‘Made in Durst’ stands for integrated solutions with responsibility: for our customers, their competitiveness, and our environment.”
The phrase ‘Vorsprung Durch Technik’, popularised through generations of Audi ads, offers a literal translation of Progress Through Technology, with the German vorsprung von technik referencing the advantage of technology. Replace Durch with Durst and it feels wholly appropriate in the context of the product highlights for Durst at FESPA, which include:
- P5 500 TEX iSUB: a water-based ‘Superwide’ sublimation printer (with a width of 5.2 metres and integrated inline fixation), ideal for applications like sustainable trade show construction, interior design, and large-format textile.
- P5 X: a versatile high-end flatbed printing system, making its debut at FESPA, which can also be used for roll printing, giving it the flexibility for a wide range of applications.
- LF 430 GF: for sustainable, direct-to-fabric textile printing, using water-based pigment inks, directly resulting from the integration of Aleph technologies.
- P5 350 HS D4: the enhanced performance D4 version of the Durst’s successful P5 350 HS, offering greater speed without compromising quality, making it ideal for high-intensity production environments.
Another major focus for FESPA is Durst’s growing end-to-end software solutions portfolio and new AI Tools, aimed at delivering fully connected, Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of the Durst Group intelligent production with data sovereignty and real-time transparency. This also includes integration of the Amazon Transparency Program into Durst Workflow to combat product piracy.
And for those FESPA delegates looking to visit Durst at Hub 27, Stand B35, visual appetites should be satiated by the works of artist Celeste Cima, produced using the P5 X in collaboration with fine art print specialist New Lab Photo in Brescia. The exhibition is a visual testament to how technology can empower artistic expression and is inspired by the Peter Senoner “Peakadilly” exhibition* at the Lumen Museum.
On day one of the show (May 6th), Christoph Gamper will also provide an exclusive strategic outlook, including the role of Durst Como as an industrial centre for future textile technologies, and the next generation of open software architecture in collaboration with Callas software.
