Once one of the most successful 64" wide format signage printers, the OKI M64 and W64 (formerly Seiko ColourPainter) sill has a loyal following - here's where to find ink for them.

OKI ColorPainter M64s big 002The OKI/Seiko ColorPainter M64 was one of the most successful solvent signage printers ever

The Seiko Infotech ColorPainter was a true workhorse sign printer using mild-solvent inks and Seiko (a division of Epson) printheads. They were initialy sold through Anitech and then sold through DES, (and for a while, Canon), which was bought by Starleaton, who continued to supply ink for the installed base. In 2015, Seiko sold the global ColorPainter business to OKI Data Corporation. In April 2020. OKI signed over distribition to Mimaki worldwide - OKI was never really comfortable in the signage and display sector. With Starleaton's recent administration, ink and parts supply was in doubt so Mimaki Australia has stepped up to support customers.

There are still many ColorPainters in use throughout Australia and New Zealand and the good news is that Mimaki will continue to supply inks and parts.
