Melbourne wide format business Billboard Media has installed two superwide EFI VUTEk Q5R roll-to-roll LED printers at its production facility in Oakleigh South.

“This is a significant investment for Billboard that will offer customers the ability to print 1200dpi with an optional clear coat, sharp three-point text and intricate detail, as large as five meters in width.
“This really is world-class printing technology, and we are excited to be able to offer it to Billboard Media customers. Utilising our Q5Rs will allow us to deliver faster turnaround times, without compromising on quality, ideal for retail or rush jobs in need of quick delivery.”

EFI introduced the VUTEk Q5r printer at its virtual users' conference EFI Engage in January 2021.
Earlier this year, Billboard Media installed two Zünd D3 Cutter 2XL-3200 machines with BHS150 systems – the first installation of its kind in Asia-Pacific.
