“After the non-events of the past year, it will be great to reunite with our industry colleagues,” says Mel Ireland, federal president of the Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA). The social event being held in Sydney is open to individuals from all sectors of the printing industry.

Now that Australians are able to get together again in person, the Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) is planning an industry gathering at the Carnarvon Golf Club in Lidcombe, NSW, on Wednesday 21 April.

As well as members of the LIA and Visual Connections, which is supporting the event, it’s expected to attract members from a wide range of industry associations including Press Gang, FESPA, Old Friends Association, PVCA, Penrith Print Museum and Women in Print, among others. Representatives from the trade press will also be there.

LIA president Mel Ireland says it’s a welcome opportunity to meet up with industry friends and associates, saying: "After the non-events of the past year, it will be great to reunite with our industry colleagues over a meal and a few drinks.

“We know that people are keen to get together now that restrictions are lifting, and this will be the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy catching up on all the news while reconnecting with our industry peers.”

The dinner, featuring a pub-style menu of schnitzel, fish & chips, steaks and vegetable curry, will be an informal affair, designed to provide an opportunity to catch up and reconnect, and will also feature an update on the Penrith Museum of Print.

Bookings close at 5pm on Friday 16 April 2021. Tickets are just $30 and can be purchased by going to https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/print-and-media-industry-social-event-tickets-147718848051
