Fresh off the dock! The Screen L350 SAI being uncrated at Jet Technologies' Sydney HQ

Jet Technologies has welcomed the latest Screen Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S model to its demonstration centre in January. The latest innovation to the Australian region printing industry, the L350UV SAI Inkjet Label Printing System brings an advanced level of productivity and quality to the market, delivering fully colour-managed results alongside high-opacity white printing.

The L350UV SAI delivers a 20% boost in throughput for colour label printing compared to the previous model, as well as a 67% productivity increase when using the high - opacity white ink. Other standout features in the new 'SAI' series include improved quality and stability, cartonboard application, exceptional registration accuracy and advanced colour management in partnership with Germany's CGS Oris. New is the option of Orange and Blue inks, which can be retrofitted to the standard CMYK+White configuration.

How the L350UV SAI will look when completed

David Reece, Sales Director, Jet Technologies says: “We are very excited to welcome this new innovation to the ANZ market. We now already have L350 clients printing 20,000 lineal metre runs, and with the substantial improvements to productivity experienced from the L350UV SAI series, there is no reason why they can’t aim for even larger print runs that have, until recently, been restricted to the domain of flexo.”

The addition of orange and blue to the current configuration, along with the CGS Oris colour matching using CxF data, enables printers to achieve an extremely wide colour gamut, with extremely high levels of repeatability, with  a noticeable reduction in ink consumption.

Peter Scott, Managing Director of Screen GP Australia says: “The L350UV SAI is able to print on a very wide range of local and imported materials, and we are glad to have worked alongside Jet Technologies to bring this product to life in their demo centre. The current L350 installations in Australia and New Zealand report uptime in the range of 92-97%, including the earliest installations that are approaching 5 years in operation. The aspect of reliability and intelligent performance delivered by the L350UV is something we are most proud of. Any press will be reliable when it is new, but to maintain this high level of performance after many years, that is what Screen is renowned for. The SAI series takes it to the next level.”

The L350UV SAI S model will be operational from the end of January 2021, in the Jet Technologies demonstration center in Sydney, close to the airport.
