Bay of Plenty business Textiles Alive picked up the Gold Award for their NZ Lotteries Big Winners Neptune Flag, at the New Zealand Pride in Print Awards held in Auckland on 16 May.

pride in print lotto 2008.gifWayne Heyworth, Director, was there to pick up the Award, in the Digital Print – Large Format category. The dye sublimation technique successfully utilised in producing the NZ Lotteries Big Winners Neptune Flag, allowed the digital printing of a spectacular image onto a silk like fabric.

It was the second Gold in two years for Textiles Alive at the prestigious Awards, which recognises excellence across the printing industry. “We are privileged to have a great team. This has allowed us to concentrate on quality production - and growing our business. Our clients, nationwide and overseas, recognize our endeavours in pursuing excellence – and again this has been formally acknowledged”, Wayne commented. “Darren Eagle and his team at Dpod, based in Wellington, are responsible for the artwork and design of the Lottery range of flags – you can only get great results from superb artwork. They did a magic job at managing this project from conception to the conclusion”.
