“It is a new normal,” says Jacinta Jacobson, general manager of Hobart trade printer Focal Printing, in a new episode of Ball & Doggett’s YouTube series RESET. “Things aren’t like they used to be and I don’t think they ever will be. I think we’re in this new chapter of life, really. And we’re looking after each other, as management and staff.  We’re actually stopping, we’re eyeballing each other and saying, ‘Are you okay?’”

RESET episode 11, hosted by Zaidee Jackson, business development manager Ball & Doggett, explores how Matthew Lowe, MD of Tasmania-based Flying Colours Group and Jacinta Jacobson, GM Focal Printing have navigated through "our current landscape."

“I am confident the changes made to the business have made it more sustainable into the future,” said Lowe. “Staff have adapted well to the changes; they have been given the opportunity to move through different arms of the business and diversify their skill sets. I am thankful to the team at Flying Colours for being on board and helping with this transition which will see us through to a bright future.”

Jacobson said: “Optimism for me personally means to have hope and confidence in the future. We strive for this to transcend into our business at all times, whether good or bad.  Hoping there is a future for the highest quality printing to remain being produced in Australia, and confidence we will have the opportunity to pass our knowledge onto future generations of young Australians.”
