FESPA is pleased to announce the re-launch of its official website at www.fespa.com. The redesigned site incorporates a number of significant changes, increasing functionality and providing FESPA members and the wider screen and digital print community with a reliable and informative hub for industry news and developments.

FESPA has added a number of new features to its website to help screen and digital printers stay informed. FESPA TV broadcasts video interviews with FESPA executive personalities as well as leading industry experts. Michel Caza, one of FESPA’s ‘founding fathers’ will keep visitors up-to-date with his latest views and insights into screen and digital printing technology via his Michel Caza Blog. The FESPA Academy incorporates the only online course currently available for the screen printing process, aimed at the POS, POP and Graphics sectors whilst also providing valuable know-how for the discerning printer to stay ahead. The FESPA News section shows 20 of the top stories in the industry every day and the FESPA Forum provides visitors the opportunity to discuss the hottest topics as they arise. A comprehensive global listing of screen and digital printing suppliers is also available in the website’s Supplier Database.

“With a FESPA website hit rate of up to 20 000 per month, we recognised the website’s power as a vehicle to drive our core aims of supporting screen and digital printers”, comments Marcus Timson, Corporate Communication Director of FESPA. “The website enables us to share industry knowledge and best-practice, promote the power of print, encourage innovation and inspire creativity and fresh thinking. It also allows us to create a stronger sense of community, bridging time zones and geographical distance, and overcoming language or cultural barriers. Our aim is to provide the FESPA community with a focal point for industry information, keeping everyone up-to-date with the latest news and market developments.”

Members of FESPA’s national associations will benefit from exclusive access to research statistics, such as the Wide Survey, the proprietary pan-European research into the digital wide-format printing marketplace, FESPA Academy lectures, and in-depth technical articles, enabling them to use the site as a valuable research tool. The new website also incorporates an extensive online networking facility for members, giving them the opportunity to communicate and share ideas. Timson continues: “We strive to provide outstanding levels of service to members and in this day and age, technology is integral to this. Recently, there’s been an explosion of social and business networking websites. Our aim is to help fulfil this need among the screen and digital print community by facilitating interaction and enabling them to develop relationships with peers.”

The website will continue to provide information and updates on FESPA’s forthcoming plans, initiatives, events and exhibitions, including FESPA Mexico World Expo (21st – 23rd August 2008), FESPA World Asia-Pacific (29th – 30th November 2008), and FESPA Digital India (14th – 16th December 2008).
