A happy Peter Harper, GM of the Visual Industries Suppliers Association and both Ken Pobjoy and Stan Kilpin of Image magazine were delighted with the turnout on the first day of the Gold Coast show.

This is the first year where the VISA organisation has organised the show independently of any external contractors.

Chatting to a broad range of exhibitors it was stated several times that this was the first year that the exhibitors themselves got behind the show and seriously added their own marketing efforts to that of VISA, hence the increase in numbers of delegates.

Congratulations to VISA as well as Ken and Stan from Image for a good show.  It bodes well for the future of this tradionally small Queensland show and the investment that VISA have put into it to date.

The queues to register at 10am and all the way through to midday were pretty long and the exhibition aisles were humming with activity.

Several new products were on show including the first showing of the Gerber Solara Ion by Spandex; the new Roll to Roll attachment from Oce for the Arizona GT; the new Neo printers from Advanced Sign Supplies.

Further announcements will be made regarding the show's attendance, product news as well as individual success stories.

Attendance at the adjoining seminars improved also with the some clever choices of speaker and topics by the organisers.
