“We want our nation's leaders to understand how critical our industry is to the Australian economy and how necessary targeted policy reform on energy, industrial relations and training is for it to flourish,” says Andrew Macaulay, CEO PVCA (formerly PIAA).

“The print industry employs tens of thousands of Australians and is the largest manufacturing employer in Australia. There is a print business in every federal electorate - across cities, suburbs and regions. With an annual turnover of $7.4 billion, print is a powerful driver of our economy - a message we need to share with our political leaders.”

The PVCA will use the event to advocate for greater support from politicians for its Top 5 Priorities for Print:
- Reliable and affordable energy
- Increased funding for skills training and print apprenticeships
- A simpler industrial relations system to boost productivity
- Increased government recognition of our environmental accreditation program – Sustainable Green Print
- Australia first procurement

The event will also display winning entries from the National Print Awards – an exhibition sponsored by Media Super.
