Largest ever outdoor ad at Dubai airport
The advertisement has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest ‘banner’ in the world. Ad-Air estimates that some 15 million people will see the advertisement every year. While Ad-Air does not disclose the price of its individual mega-advertisements, Ad-Air has stated that its prices range from R525,000 to just over R1 million per month. Ad-Air has also acknowledged that it has rights to 30 airports globally. Expect to see similar giant ads at both Los Angeles International Airport and Chicago O’Hare next year.

SGIA Survey Shows a Low Rate of On-The-Job Injuries in 2006
Most respondents to SGIA's recent survey, 2007 Safety Initiatives, said they didn't have injuries on the job and currently have safety programs in place. According to the respondents, these programs included the use of protective equipment (78.7 percent), safety rules (70.8 percent), safety training (58.8 percent), safety posters (56.2 percent) and regular safety meetings (46.4 percent). http://www.sgia.org/surveys_and_statistics/

US outdoor advertising industry revenue up 6.1% in third quarter
In what would seem to be a never ending upward graph, total revenue for the outdoor advertising industry in the US grew 6.1% in the third quarter of 2007 compared to the same period last year. The revenue figures are collected in aggregate each month by certified public accountants Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co., LLP and used by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, in combination with other sources, to release industry revenue information on a quarterly basis. Miller Kaplan provides revenue estimates for more than 2000 radio stations in 160 markets, in addition to the outdoor advertising industry.
