Ovato lost $9.7m in H1 as restructure 'resets balance sheet'

Ovato recorded a net loss of $9.7 million for the six months to 31 December 2020, with sales falling by 28.2% to $236.2M compared to the corresponding six month period, which was prior to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Heatset catalogue printing and residential distribution volumes are not returning as quickly as expected due to the lingering impacts of COVID-19."

Another $15m in Jobkeeper helps IVE to 'solid' first-half FY21

Print and marketing group IVE reported $23 million in net profit for the first half, up from $17.7m pcp despite a 3% fall in revenue to $340.8m. “We estimate a revenue reduction to pcp of circa $50m as a result of the impacts of COVID-19, particularly in the retail catalogue and travel sectors."

HP reported strong revenue and profit growth in the first quarter, with net revenue up 7% to $US15.6bn from the prior-year period, driven by demand for notebook computers and consumer printers. “Our Printing business generated revenue of $5 billion and operating profit of $1 billion.” Commercial printer sales remained flat.

oOh! posts $35m loss for 2020 with ‘significant recovery’ in Q4

Outdoor advertiser oOh!media says unprecedented restrictions caused by Covid-19 led to a 34% decline in its revenue to $426.5m for 2020, with an underlying loss of $8m compared to a profit of $52.4m in 2019, and a Net Loss after Tax of $35.7m. "The company experienced a strong recovery in revenue across key formats in the final quarter of 2020 which has continued into 2021.”

Outdoor audiences back to highest levels since March

Australians are getting back to business according to JCDecaux, with latest national audience mobility data hitting its highest levels since March last year. “As Melbourne came out of its snap lockdown, Out-of-Home advertisers can take comfort that audiences across Australia are bouncing back,” the global outdoor advertiser said.
