FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 and its co-located shows, European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience were officially opened today at a ribbon-cutting with both the newly inaugurated (19th) FESPA President, Daniel Sunderland, and the outgoing FESPA President (since 2021), Christophe Aussenac, in attendance.

FESPA BerlinThis year’s strapline ‘Where Visionaries Meet’, could not have been more fitting as Christophe Aussenac, founding director of ATC (Autorise Toute Creativité), formally handed over the stewardship of FESPA to Daniel Sunderland, a 30-year veteran of the specialty print industry, Vice President of Canagraf (La Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Artes Gráficas – FESPA’s local Association in Mexico) and FESPA representative on the Board of CONLATINGRAF, a coalition of 14 Associations in Latin America.

What’s on at FESPA 2025

Occupying eight halls of Messe Berlin, shared by over 580 global exhibitors and with over 100 new product launches expected, the next four days (6 – 9 May) will bring the latest printing technologies and trends to life for thousands of visiting print service providers. The show includes:

- The European Sign Expo (Halls 3.2 & 4.2) – this year offering an integrated pavilion (resembling a busy High Street shopping area) to showcase the innovations of over 112 sign industry exhibitors in the sign and visual communications space,

- All the latest cutting-edge technologies, trends and strategies that encompass a true Personalisation Experience (Hall 5.2), including a free 3-day SmartHub Conference (Stand A55), highlighting the importance of personalisation in the marketing mix and exploring the impact of AI and other new technologies.

- A ‘Lunch and Lead’ event for Girls Who Print Global – being held in the Press Conference Room (Beta 3 and Beta 4, within Hub 27) on 7 May (12:30–2:00pm).

- The new Smart Factory Trail, a comprehensive guide showcasing the latest personalisation and intelligent manufacturing technologies, software and on-demand printing solutions, from a variety of brands and experts across the three co-located events.

- Crowd favourite World Wrap Masters (Hall 6.2) encapsulating the European and final rounds of the World Wrap Masters competition and also featuring live technical demonstrations, presented by the Wrap Institute, to support graphic installers’ development and provide top tips for wrapping.

The winners of the 2025 FESPA Awards will also be announced this week and visitors to the show can see the shortlisted entries across 18 applicationNew FESPA President Daniel SunderlandDaniel Sunderland has officially been inaugurated as the 19th new FESPA President led categories, up-close, on display in the South Entrance of the Messe Berlin.

In-keeping with tradition, the venue for FESPA Global 2026 was also released on Day One of the current show. Michael Ryan, Head of FESPA Global Print Expo, comments, “It gives me great pleasure to share that we have chosen Barcelona as the host city for our 2026 flagship events. As a peripatetic event, it’s important to us that we are able to connect with our different associations and the regional markets as a whole. FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 and co-located events (European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience), will take place at the Fira de Barcelona, Spain, from Tuesday 19th - Friday 22nd May next year.The 2026 show will also welcome back Sportswear Pro for its second edition. In addition, confirmed features include World Wrap Masters and Club FESPA.
