Tuesday 23rd May - 11-12.30pm - Steve Tighe – The Future
One of Australia’s most engaging, entertaining and compelling speakers on innovation and the future, Steve is recognised for his thought-provoking insights and observations which will help you de-mystify the challenges of the future and gain some genuine tools for improving your business future.
Steve will take you on a virtual journey into the future, alerting you to the drivers of future change and their implications for your business, covering important questions like how to detect emerging trends, what tomorrow’s customers will be looking for, and how best to innovate and plan for the future. In particular, you’ll learn how ‘outside the box’ thinking and a real leadership mindset contributes to success.
Wednesday 24th May - 11-12.30pm - Peter Davidson – High Performance
As a paramedic on the Air Ambulance ‘Helimed One’ chopper, Peter Davidson put his own life in danger to winch eight sailors to safety from their stricken yacht, ‘Standaside’, as it was battered by 25 metre waves during the 1998 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
Peter’s amazing story is a case study in outstanding crisis management, demonstrating what ordinary, well trained, motivated people can achieve. His powerful account touches on themes and issues from leadership and vision, to teamwork, preparation and training, and the importance of persistence and determination – particularly when faced with rapidly changing environments.
Thursday 25th May - 11-12.30pm - Marty Wilson - Change
Marty Wilson is an author, presenter and comedian who has interviewed more than 1000 inspirational people for his best-selling What I Wish I Knew book series. In his PacPrint presentation, he’ll distil all that wisdom, add in his own scientific research, and deliver the results interwoven with laugh-out-loud stories as only a former Australian Comic of the Year can.
‘Change Without Fear’ is an energetic and inspirational presentation created specifically for leaders who are being bombarded by the need to adapt to disruption, and will provide delegates with important tools to help them deal with the fear of change, convince team members of the benefits of new processes and systems, and avoid having their change management model derailed by the ‘human element’.
Friday 26th May - 11-12.30pm - Jerry Grayson - Leadership
Jerry Grayson is an ordinary man who chose an extraordinary career. At just 17 he became the youngest helicopter pilot to ever serve in the British Royal Navy. His book Rescue Pilot: Cheating the Sea, tracks a career in which Jerry and his crew are credited with saving more than 70 lives on 120 missions – a service record which led to him becoming the most decorated peacetime naval pilot in history by the time he was 25, awarded the Air Force Cross by the Queen for outstanding gallantry in search and rescue.
After leaving the Navy, Jerry’s adventures continued with the establishment of Helifilms, a production company specialising in aerial footage. Since 1989, he has covered events from the Olympics to the World Cup and contributed to films including Black Hawk Down, An Inconvenient Truth and the James Bond classic, A View to a Kill.
Jerry’s presentation is exciting, frequently funny and highly poignant, and provides apt illustration of important principles like quick and confident decision making, the ability to ‘own’ decisions and live with their consequences, good communication and an effective and motivated team, which are absolutely vital for today’s industry leaders.
The Forum Series is a well-established and popular part of the PacPrint program, providing an important educational dimension to the industry’s premier exhibition. All sessions are completely free of charge to registered visitors.
