‘It’s quite an honour to receive one SGIA Product of the Year award, let alone three,’ said Andrew Oransky, president of Roland DGA. ‘At Roland, we are dedicated to developing advanced technologies and innovative products that open up new applications and opportunities for our customers. The Roland printer and inks selected by the judges this year are prime examples of our company’s commitment to providing tools that print service providers need to grow and succeed.’

Roland’s VersaUV LEJ-640FT, the winner in the UV Flatbed category, is the industry’s only UV flatbed printer capable of printing directly on substrates and three-dimensional objects. The LEJ-640FT also makes it easy for users to incorporate unique textures and embossing effects into prints for powerful visual impact on POP displays, interior decor, art, promotional products and one or two-sided signs.

GREENGUARD Gold certified TrueVIS INK, which took top honours in the Digital Inks – Solvent/Eco-Solvent/Latex category, is designed for use with Roland’s new, state-of-the-art TrueVIS series wide-format printer/cutters. Specially formulated to produce wide-gamut colour results, TrueVIS INK ensures vibrant colour and outstanding detail while minimising material costs. In addition, TrueVIS INK dries quickly and lasts up to three years outdoors without lamination.

Roland Texart dye-sublimation ink, developed for use with the company’s Texart RT-640 and XT-640 sublimation printers, also impressed the judges at SGIA 2016, winning in the Digital Inks - Textile category.  Texart inks, available in four-colour or eight-colour configurations with CMYK, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Orange, Violet, as well as new Fluorescent Pink and Yellow, deliver stunning colour and quality to sublimated fabric, apparel, and hard goods.
