EFI Cretaprint, KERAJet, Projecta Engineering and TecnoFerrari were the first to show Xaar 2001-enabled printers at  the Italian show Tecnargilla last week.

The new Xaar 2001+ family of printheads deliver ultimate versatility in ceramic tile decoration which means that tile manufacturers can easily manage a very wide range of ceramic tile designs. The Xaar 2001+ also enables production flexibility so that tile manufacturers can efficiently manage production changes from one day to the xaar 072anext.  In addition the new printhead family offers unrivalled industrial reliability and the longest maintenance-free production runs in the industry. Featuring 2000 nozzles, the printhead jets one colour at 720 dpi or two colours at 360 dpi each, and is available in three drop sizes. This means manufacturers can select the printhead combination that meets their exact needs:  choosing the Xaar 2001+ GS6C printhead for fine details, the Xaar 2001+ GS12C to balance detail and laydown for a wide range of tile designs and the Xaar 2001+ GS40C to achieve the highest laydown for special effects.  For those who do not need dual colour printing, the Xaar 2001 GS12C offers the same high print quality and high productivity of the Xaar 2001+ in a single colour configuration.
"The rapid adoption of the Xaar 2001 GS12C and Xaar 2001+ by leading printer manufacturers is a major endorsement of Xaar's new printhead family," says Gillian Ewers, Director of Marketing at Xaar. "We are committed to developing printheads that meet the evolving needs of the industry and now offer the ceramics market a choice of printhead families ‒ the Xaar 1003, Xaar 2001 and Xaar 2001+. The Xaar 1003 printhead, launched earlier this year, is a powerful and popular printhead and many digital decoration printers on show at Tecnargilla this week are powered by this market-leading printhead."
