Earlier this month both Agfa Graphic and Starleaton signed an exclusive distributor agreement whereby Starleaton will sell the Agfa Graphics range of UV and LED printers which include the Anapurna, Jeti Mira and Tauro in addition to the range of Agfa media.

This means considerable expansion for the Brookvale based business that has branches in all the major centres.

Starleaton Digital Solutions is widely known in the sign and display sector and holds a sizeable percentage of sales into this sector for both media and machinery. The company is already the exclusive supplier of the popular Zund range of cutters which in many cases sell together with the Agfa printers, especially in POS work.
Ben Eaton, CEO of Starleaton stated that the acquisition of the Agfa Graphics distributorship was part and parcel of a wider plan to grow the business with several other plans which include bigger and better warehouses and showrooms in both Melbourne and Sydney as well as more support staff to support the Agfa machines.
Mike Culver, Inkjet Sales Manager Oceania, Agfa Graphics said, ”It was important for Agfa to associate  ourselves with a nationwide partner that could offer the sales and engineering support that our brand requires to thrive. Combined with our products and infrastructure, customers can expect more choice and variety of solutions.
Starleaton have a great presence in the Sign and Display sector which is an area Agfa want to be heavily involved in.
This is a big statement to the market and we hope to present our offerings to Starleaton's existing and new clients. “

Ben Eaton added, “"Having worked with Mike and the team at Agfa for the past 12 months we are looking forward to being able to offer our ANZ customers both current and future an even more extensive product offering. AGFA have demonstrated clearly that they want to further their expansion into the Sign and Display sector and we are thrilled to be on board."

The distributorship also coincides with the expected availability of the new Anapurna H2500i next month which was launched at drupa 2016.
“The Agfa Graphics printer range already have a very significant installation base around our region, including New Zealand, so Starleaton will take on the role of support for these existing machines jointly with Agfa Graphics and of course any new installations.
