Following a successful inaugural year of operations, Visual Connections announces a changeover of President from Mitchell Mulligan, CEO Bottcher Australia (former GAMAA President) to John Wall, President and Director Roland DG Australia (former Visual Industries Vice-President) as agreed in the Constitution of the not-for-profit company created in 2015.


In the last year Visual Connections has presented two successful trade shows – Visual Impact Melbourne held in September 2015 and Visual Impact Brisbane, recently held in April 2016 and are focused on the upcoming Visual Impact Sydney to be held in September 2016 and PacPrint to be held in May 2017.

Visual Connections has also continued to put back into the industry through the shared management of Women in Print, investment in education through their Work Inspirations program and the continuance of grants and sponsorships. In 2015 they awarded the $15,000 LIA-Visual Connections Graduate of the Year award, which will see the winner, Jessica McAuley travel to Drupa in June. They also provide ongoing support to industry campaigns through TSA Limited. Other activities supported this year include the ANZFTA National Conference, NZSDA Sign Awards, ASGA Awards, Industry Internship Grant, LIA QLD awards and the Drupa Australian and New Zealand Welcome night.
Outgoing President Mitchell Mulligan commented “ It has been a rewarding year and I would like to thank my fellow Board members for their hard work. We are proud that Visual Connections has united major suppliers across the print, graphic and signage industries and continued to contribute to the sustainability of the industry”.
As incoming President, John Wall is looking forward to taking on the role and for the year ahead. “What a great first year for Visual Connections. I am proud to take the helm at this juncture and to further the work of the association as it commences its second year. Over the next twelve months, there will be some exciting times ahead as we bring together Visual Impact Sydney 2016, PacPrint 2017 and other industry events. With the assistance of the Board, I hope to give back to the industry that supports us all.”
