Printing Industries has launched a new Better Business partnership that will save its members up to 20 per cent off their power bills.

It complements the Associations existing suite of energy efficiency services that include an end-to-end energy management solution, voltage optimisation, electrical test and tag training and its industry specific Sustainable Green Print certification program.
The new service compares company electricity bills against prices from a wide range of energy retailers and delivers a new deal with potentially thousands of dollars in savings.
Printing Industries' National Director, Communication, Technology and Creative Services, Joe Kowalewski, said that the Association’s initial estimates put the savings for an average SME at about $1,051 annually.
“However our first test company, Sydney based Bright Print Group, signed on after realising they would save $10,750 over two years by making the switch,” he said.
“A further five companies have since joined with individual annual savings around the $3,000 mark.”
Bright Print Director, Debbie Burgess, has been on the cost reduction trail for some time saving money on water, electricity and waste charges and reducing overall electricity usage by 7.5 per cent.
Although considered one of the most energy efficient print business in NSW, the power bill provided a new opportunity for savings.
It took just a phone call to begin the process which was really easy and produced a great result.
“I called Michael, one of the commercial account managers. He requested a copy of my latest bills and then went to market to compare the retailers’ rates,” she said.
“Once he had received all of the offers, he came back with a proposal, easily showing which retailer had the best solution. Michael was very pleasant and responsive during the whole experience.
“Overall it was a very simple and straight forward process, I would recommend the service to other businesses and especially to other members of the association. I was very pleased with the saving.”
Printing Industries' members are provided with free quotes and no switching fee – all the work is done for them.
Due to differing electricity supply arrangements in some states, this offer is not currently available in Regional Queensland, the ACT, Western Australia, Tasmania or Northern Territory.
