A new round of Sustainable Green Print (SGP) certification courses have been released for NSW and Victorian printers.
The courses cover the introductory Level 1 certification and the more advanced Level 2.

Ian Walz - re-sizePrinting Industries National Manager, Learning and Development, Ian Walz, said the NSW courses would be staged at Auburn on 11-12 August and registrations were now being accepted.

“We are also accepting registrations for the Victorian courses and they will be staged on 5 October and 12 October at our Mulgrave office,” he said.

“Currently 42 companies have received their certification at either levels 1, 2 or 3 and we have more than 60 companies progressing through implementation phases ahead of certification.

“This new round of courses will allow companies to become involved for the first time and for those already on the SGP road in various stages of completion, to be able to refresh their knowledge or move up to a new level.”

All levels are based on the international standard ISO 14001 which can be achieved on completion of SGP Level 3.

Level 1 is generally considered to be the entry level for small printers. Level 2 is the intermediate level recommended for SME companies and Level 3 takes companies down the ISO 14001 pathway with the option of either staying at SGP Level 3 certification or completing the additional ISO 14001 audit.
