Canadian company Digital Sign Technologies Inc. have announced the launch of their new Print Head Doctor 13 which they claim is receiving rave reviews from its users.
The new 75 kHz ultrasonic tanks have an adjustable power output and provide a safer treatment for the print heads. The standard PHD13 50040 kHz ultrasound was known to damage certain types of print heads, but the higher frequency and a variable output solve this problem.
The model 13 is equipped with high-performance custom pumps made by KNF in Switzerland and is now able to unclog all kinds of print heads safely and effectively.
Digital Sign Technologies claim that the machine is capable of increasing the maximum output speed of inkjet printers by restoring print heads to the cleanest condition, so they perform like new. Even a single pass print modes have proven to be possible as a result of a thorough print head cleaning with PHD13. For example, an Infiniti printer with 8 Seiko 510 printheads is capable of achieving print speeds of 100 sq.m per hour (1070 sq.ft per hour) with 3-year old print heads, something that was only possible with brand new heads. The output quality at all print speeds have been also dramatically increased.
