The following message is from the Executive Committee of the NZSDA
Brian will be finishing up his role in early July 2016. He began working for the NZSDA over twenty years ago, and has worked tirelessly since that time for the betterment of the Association, and for the industry as a whole.

His enthusiasm and passion for our industry has shown through in multiple areas, but his crowning achievement has undoubtedly been his work with the New Zealand Sign Awards. Brian was an integral part of Brian Fairchildtheir inception 20 years ago, and has guided them from strength to strength since.
His expertise in event management has been illustrated more recently with the successful conceptualising and organising of the NZ Sign Expo, both in Auckland two years ago and more recently in Christchurch.
He has also always been a passionate supporter of the Letterheads movement, ever since their NZ beginnings, never missing one, and also attending a number of Australian Letterheads events of his own volition.
Brian has made a great deal of friends during his time serving the signage industry, and his steady hand, business acumen, and ready wit will be missed by many. We hope that his retirement does not end his association with the industry, and that we get to share an Appleton's and a yarn with him in the future.
We are sure that we speak for all within the industry in thanking Brian for his work, and in wishing him and his wife Bernie all the best for a long and happy retirement.
The Executive Committee are currently working through options for the future, and while we recognise that we have some big shoes to fill we feel confident that we will see a smooth transition through to the future.
