Condé Systems has announced a "Sublimation Metal Art Contest" offering contestants the opportunity to win a new iPad (Third-generation Apple iPad/$499 Retail Value) as First Prize.

In addition, the Second Prize Winner will be awarded a $200 Condé account credit and the Third Prize Winner will be awarded a $100 Condé account credit. Open to anyone, the contest is targeted toward designers creatively producing photo panels, plaques, 3D art, and more using dye-sub aluminum, brass, or steel.

Although each entry must include imaged dye-sublimation metal to be eligible, creations can be embellished in any way the artist desires and can include other forms of decorating such as laser cutting or chemical etching. Judging will be based on the creativity, originality, and marketability of each entry. The "Sublimation Metal Art Contest" remains open until the final date of August 31, 2012.
