GJS Machinery to show the Brother GT-541 at the VIIE Gold Coast show

New direct to garment machine to debut at the VIIE Expo on the Gold Coast.

GJS Machinery today announced the availability of the Brother GT-541, a new direct-to-garment ink jet printer.

This is the first time a Brother direct-to-garment product has been made available to the wider Australian market and is the first product to be made available locally through a new distribution deal between Brother and GJS Machinery.

GT-541“Brother Internationals reputation in this space is second to none, we have a large base of machines currently in the USA and have created a solid and profitable business for our users.  When looking at the Australian Market we wanted to partner with the best in the business and we believe GJS Machinery will provide the “At your Side” service that Brother is famous for” said Greg Benardos - National New Technologies Manager, Brother International Australia.

The Brother GT-541 uses ink jet technology to print onto garments in high-quality colour, directly from a computer. Brother developed the GT-541 from the ground up as an industrial grade garment printer and unlike competing products it does not feature any domestic printer technology. The GT-541 is manufactured in Japan by Brother Industries, Ltd, a global leader in the industrial sewing market.

The GT-541 marks the progression from screen printing technologies to a cleaner, cheaper, and more productive way to print images directly onto garments. It is also faster to operate than traditional screen printing machines as there is no set-up, tear-down, clean-up, screens, squeegees or adhesives.

The four industrial print heads of the GT-541, each with a large droplet size, enable think pigment ink to flow more freely resulting in faster print times and less maintenance. The water-based ink can be cured by a standard heat press, eliminating the need to purchase a conveyor dryer, and significantly reducing operating space requirements.

“The GT-541 garment printer is ideal for screen and quick printers, one-hour photo shops, event planners, premium suppliers and small and medium apparel printing enterprises” said Graham Stone - Managing Director, GJS Machinery. “This ink jet garment printer is also as simple to operate as a desktop printer whilst delivering great print quality” he added.
